Working with Marissa and her team at MB Events, was by far the best decision my husband and I could have made during our wedding planning process. Marissa truly goes above and beyond for her clients, and her passion for her work is apparent from start to finish.
My husband and I chose a venue where every aspect of our wedding needed to be coordinated with third-party vendors (string quartet, DJ, catering (incl. table, chairs, linens), set up, breakdown, etc). When we realized how much we underestimated the time and coordination needed to plan such an important event, we knew we needed help. Enter: MB Events. From the start, Marissa kept my husband and I organized throughout the entire wedding planning process, ensuring our vision for the day came to fruition, and truly made our wedding day better than we had ever expected.
We planned an outdoor wedding, and inevitably it was supposed to pour (thunder, lightning, flood, tornado warnings), and Marissa and her team worked from sunup to sundown to ensure that our day was exactly as we had imagined, rain or shine. Marissa was an advocate for my husband and I when difficult day-of -decisions needed to be made in relation to the rain, which allowed us to just “focus and take in the moment” which we are extremely grateful for. With some last minute timeline adjustments by Marissa, we were able to have the outdoor ceremony of our dreams. This would not have happened without the expertise and dedication of Marissa and her team.
Multiple times throughout the wedding planning process I told my husband that Marissa seems to be the only vendor we chose that is actually “on our side.” We struggled with the organization and responses of other vendors, especially as the wedding season was in full swing, but Marissa never missed a moment. She was professional, quick to respond, and extremely reliable. I know that there are many options when choosing a wedding planner, but I can honestly say, I believe Marissa and her team to be the best there is. Personally, the only downside I’ve found about working with Marissa has been the end of it all… because it feels kind of like I don’t have my best friend around anymore!

Working with Marissa and the MB Team was the best decision we made for our wedding! From the moment we signed with her she was on top of everything and anything, kept us on track and assured us that we wouldn’t have to worry about a single thing come our wedding day. I had never thought of doing a venue walk through a month before and I’m so glad Marissa and Emily organized this for us. The schedule that Marisa and Emily prepared was so meticulously organized and detailed that every vendor complemented that they had wished every wedding coordinator had a schedule like this! Fast forward to our rehearsal, Marissa and Emily took charge when our venue was less than prepared for a wedding our size. They had us run through 3 different rehearsal scenarios because the forecast was not looking in our favor, and I am so glad we did! I started to panic that my wedding was going to be ruined because of the rain and Marissa and Emily assured me that everything would be perfect, and it was! Marissa, Emily and Doug quite literally saved the day on our wedding day when good ole spring New England weather decided to torrentially downpour on our wedding day. Our venue had a coordinator that was there to help however if Marissa, Emily, and Doug weren’t there, I can honestly say my wedding wouldn’t have gone as smooth as it did. From moving our ceremony inside to where our reception was to coordinating the changeover during cocktail hour, everything was more than I could’ve imagined, including help coordinate having our dog be a part of our ceremony, which meant the world to me! There was more than a few hiccups that day but I didn’t know about a single one until our follow up call with Marissa and Emily after we got back from the honeymoon. This is the amazing quality work that MB Events provides! I was always afraid that I was going to become a brideszilla and I don’t feel as if that happened because Marissa, Emily, and Doug were there for absolutely everything! They thought of things we would have never considered, lip gloss hidden at our sweetheart table, drink orders prepared for our wedding party, to picking a point person for our cards to make sure nothing got lost. My only regret was not signing with MB Events sooner! My husband and I cannot thank Marissa, Emily and Doug enough for everything they did to give us our wedding of our dreams!

I am so thankful that I found MB Events for our October wedding! I first connected with Marissa, and I could tell she wanted to understand our vision and her eye for detail would make it come to life. I knew right away that I wanted her team to be with us on our wedding day. And throughout the planning process, Marissa and Jamie were incredibly responsive and kind enough to help with any and all of my questions.
On our wedding day, Jamie and Caroline were everything we could have asked for and more. Without a doubt, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. And they even took some photos that our photographer missed! After the wedding we had so many guests tell us about how incredible the coordinators were and the fires they put out that we (myself & my husband) were completely oblivious to. Honestly, if you’re looking for a wedding planner or day-of-coordinator team who will take your wedding vision as seriously as you do and then execute it to perfection, we recommend MB Events!

I can't say enough amazing things about Marissa! She really went above and beyond for me on my wedding day! She was my day of coordinator but still followed up with me weeks and months prior to the wedding to make sure I was on the right track. She also had many great suggestions and I felt comfortable asking her questions. Marissa is very professional and personable, and she got along with everyone so well! She helped with setting up, decorating, the time-line flow, greeting guests and vendors, confirming the plans with every vendor, clean up, packing up, getting us food and drinks, doing my bustle, etc. I highly recommend Marissa as a wedding coordinator; I definitely could not have done it without her. Whatever I needed, she was there. When I told my friends about some of the "behind the scenes" issues we had, everyone was shocked because it seemed like everything ran so smoothly! She made my wedding day so easy and worry-free and I'm so thankful that she was there. I feel like all my vendors were running on schedule and the guests were very happy with how everything turned out. We also started our ceremony 20 minutes early because there was heavy rain coming in. She gathered all the vendors and wedding party and got everyone ready to walk down the aisle in just minutes! Things will go wrong during your wedding! So, make sure you have someone like Marissa to help fix any issues and keep things on the right track. Highly recommend, thanks again Marissa for making my day perfect!

Marissa and her team at MB events truly made our wedding day everything we could have hoped for and more. Our venue did not include any services and it was a very DIY situation. However, the MB Events team helped my husband and I stay organized with all our vendor outreach, a VERY detailed timeline, and as needed support along the way. The team was tremendously responsive in the months and weeks leading up to our wedding. On the day of, we weren’t worried about anything but each other and the fun we were having. The MB Events team helped all of our guests seamlessly, they made sure to inform us of the timeline throughout the day, and truly saw to any and all of our needs. Marissa and her team kept all communication with vendors before and during the event smooth and organized and they thought of things I never would have. I was able to bounce all of my ideas off of them knowing I would receive supportive yet honest responses about how logistically those ideas might work or look. I could not have done all of the planning without this coordination team. We felt so cared for and enjoyed our day so incredibly much thanks to them.

Marissa & the MB Event team truly made our wedding weekend complete. From the moment we started working together Marissa & team were so organized & helped manage all of our vendors & develop a comprehensive timeline for the weekend. MBE was always checking in, making sure we were on track & we’re always available if I needed to reach them. They organized a month prior a walkthrough of the ceremony & reception space & I am so happy they did. There were a lot of components I didn’t account for but they helped point them out & provide suggestions & solutions for them. Planning a wedding is so much work but MBE helped ease so much stress! The day of the wedding I was amazed with how well they kept everything running smoothly, from dealing with the rainy weather & changing photo plans last minute, to managing our larger bridal party, I truly could have not asked for a better team to make the night complete. I am very thankful we had them apart of our wedding weekend!!

I cannot say enough good things about Marissa. She truly SAVED my big day after hiring another set up and breakdown service and still to this day, haven’t heard from her. Just a month before my wedding, I started the hunt for a new event coordinator. Marissa reached out, and I knew she was the one I would go with because she was engaged, present, responsive and fully understood my wants and my needs as a bride looking to make her vision come to life. Marissa was so easy to get along with and she was able to ease my nerves with any and all doubts that I had of anything working. She was well organized and her and her husband, Doug, made everything come out perfect and exactly how I imagined it. They both came back right at the end of the night to assist with the breakdown process, and they absolutely nailed it!!! I was shocked at how quickly they tag teamed breaking down my decor in just the one hour we were allotted. I truly could not have gotten through my wedding day without the caring, meticulous, and professional help of Marissa and Doug. We had a backyard wedding and halfway through the planning process we decided it was best to hire a day of coordinator. But MB events is so much more than that. We stayed in contact for months leading up to the big day, she was always responsive whether it was a phone call, zoom, email, or text. She put together a detailed timeline and stayed in contact with all my vendors so assure everyone was on the same page. Most importantly my day ran so smoothly and if anything went awry I had no idea. She truly made my husband and I feel so special.

Marissa, Jamie and Doug were amazing!! Marissa helped with planning and finalizing a timeline over several months! And then the wedding was multiple days and multiple ceremonies and the team helped coordinate decor, bringing clothing and decorations from one place to another, and overall problem solving lots of last minute issues. They were like family and so easy to work with. It was reassuring having MB events with us throughout the week!
